FAQ
My answers to common questions.
What are your personal values?
I believe that:
We must defend the disadvantaged and the weak.
We must respect the equality and basic rights of all people.
Integration, internationality, and inclusion make society strong and peaceful.
We must care for each other on a personal level and not leave everything to systems and government.
We must treat each other with mutual respect, grace, compassion, kindness, and genuine love.
Why are you part of the Finnish Christian Democratic Party?
I find that the values that the party holds most strongly reflect my own values, and that values are the most important basis for political action.
We recognise:
The value and dignity of every person
That family is the heart of society
That we are all responsible for one another
That democracy means grassroots decision and determination
That a social and sustainable market economy is a just economy
Our role as responsible stewards of nature and the environment
The value and importance of international co-operation
Why did you decide to join local politics?
I believe that making positive change requires work to be done at every level, and politics is not an exemption.
Why is your campaign in English?
One of my big passions is to see internationals contribute to and integrate into Finnish society. We have the desire and the ability to do this even though we don’t speak Finnish or Swedish fluently yet, and I hope that English can be a good common base for everyone to build together while we learn the langauge.
